Getting Here

French Beach is 60 kilometers west of the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. French Beach is a residential community with a population of 100. The sandy beach, a 10-minute walk from the house, is about three kilometres long and is perfect for beachcombing for shells, driftwood and stones.

The world famous West Coast Hiking Trail lies approximately 45 minutes to the west. The highly popular Galloping Goose Bicycle Trail commences 20 minutes to the east and continues more than 60 kilometres to the lovely city of Victoria and beyond to the ferry terminals

Victoria is accessible by air via the Victoria International Airport (1.5 hours from the house) or via helicopter in downtown Victoria (1 hour from the house), via ferry from Vancouver (1.5 hours sailing time), from Anacortes, Washington (1.5 hours sailing time) or via passenger ferry from Seattle, Washington (3 hours sailing time).



Directions :

Take Highway 17 west from Victoria. Continue on the highway past the town of Sooke. Approximately 20 minutes past Sooke turn left on Woodhaven, drive to the end of the street and turn left on Seaside Drive - the house is on the right: 2616 Seaside Drive. The original house is at the top of the property, drive down the driveway to the new home.
